Meet Our Founders

Dr. Jaime A. Almora

Founder & Medical Director, Almora General Hospital

Dr. Jaime A. Almora is the visionary behind Almora General Hospital — a man whose life’s work has been shaped not by ambition, but by compassion. A native of Kalinga, he saw firsthand the hardships faced by those who needed medical care yet lived far from modern hospitals. While many of his peers pursued lucrative opportunities in the city and abroad, Dr. Almora chose a different path. Guided by love for his people and a deep sense of calling, he devoted his life to building a hospital that would bring world-class care to the mountains of Kalinga.

A General Surgeon by training, Dr. Almora is a Fellow of the Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS), the Philippine Society of Ultrasound in Surgery (PSUS), the Philippine Association of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons (PALES), and the International College of Surgeons (ICS). He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University in Baguio City and completed his Surgical Residency at Baguio General Hospital.

Today, as the Founder and Medical Director of Almora General Hospital, Dr. Almora continues to lead with humility and conviction—mentoring young physicians, modernizing hospital systems, and ensuring that AGH remains anchored in its founding spirit of faith, service, and excellence.

“True success is not measured by wealth or title, but by how deeply we serve others. My heart belongs to Kalinga—and to the healing of its people.”
