Our Story, Our Purpose
A Legacy of Healing in the Highlands
Almora General Hospital (AGH) is a privately owned healthcare institution dedicated to serving the people of Kalinga—especially the indigenous and marginalized communities of the Cordillera highlands. What began in 1998 as a modest 15-bed facility in the city of Tabuk has grown into an 85-bed hospital and the province’s foremost center for modern, compassionate care.
Driven by faith and a deep sense of purpose, AGH was built to bring quality healthcare closer to home—so that families in Kalinga no longer need to travel far to receive the care they deserve. Over the years, the hospital has continuously evolved, expanding its capacity, services, and expertise to meet the growing health needs of the community. Its transition from 15 to 50 beds was completed in December 2011, and preparations are now well underway to achieve its designation as a Secondary Level Hospital under the Department of Health (DOH).
Fully compliant with the DOH Hospital Licensing and Regulatory Board, AGH is equipped with advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support systems, supported by a dedicated team of medical professionals and staff united by one calling—to heal with excellence and compassion.
At its heart, Almora General Hospital stands as more than just a place of treatment. It is a home of hope, where science meets service, and where every patient—rich or poor, from the city or the mountains—is treated with dignity, empathy, and care.
“We built this hospital not just to treat illness, but to bring healing and comfort to every Kalinga heart.”
— Dr. Jaime A. Almora, Founder
