Dr. Jaime A. Almora is the Founder and Medical Director of Almora General Hospital, and the driving force behind its mission to bring world-class healthcare to the people of Kalinga. A Fellow of multiple national and international surgical societies, Dr. Almora trained at St. Louis University and Baguio General Hospital, and later pursued advanced studies in Diagnostic Ultrasonography and Laparoscopic Surgery in Manila.

“My heart belongs to Kalinga—and to the healing of its people.”

A Visionary Devoted to the People of Kalinga

Dr. Jaime A. Almora is the visionary behind Almora General Hospital — a man whose heart for service outweighed the allure of opportunity. While many of his peers pursued prestigious medical careers in the city and abroad, Dr. Almora chose to return home to Kalinga, where access to healthcare was limited and modern facilities were scarce. Guided by love, faith, and compassion, he dedicated his life to building an institution that would bring world-class medical care to the highlands.

Since founding Almora General Hospital in 1998, Dr. Almora has transformed it into Kalinga’s foremost center for evidence-based healthcare, equipped with advanced diagnostic and life-support systems, and powered by a team of dedicated professionals inspired by his vision.

“True success is not measured by wealth or status, but by how deeply we serve others. My heart belongs to Kalinga—and to the healing of its people.”
